🔧Troubleshooting Steps! (EN)

Most in-browser video call issues can be resolved with the following steps.

  1. Before joining the call, you’ll be presented with a prejoin screen where you can test and configure your devices to ensure everything is working correctly.

    Please verify the following:

    • Camera:
      • Ensure your video feed displays properly in the preview window. You can select a different camera using the dropdown menu, and also check video quality to make sure the image is clear.
    • Microphone:
      • Speak aloud and check that the audio level meter responds to your voice.
      • For extra confidence, use the mic test feature to record a short clip of your voice and play it back to confirm your mic is capturing sound clearly.
    • Speakers:
      • Click the "Test speakers" button. A short test sound should play—if you don’t hear anything, try switching output devices using the dropdown menu.
  2. Reload Your Browser: This can resolve many issues.
  3. Use Incognito or Private Mode: This disables extensions like ad blockers that may interfere with your camera or microphone.
  4. Quit and Reopen Your Browser: This can refresh your browser's settings
  5. Try a Different Browser or Device: If you're using Chrome, consider switching to Safari or Firefox. Also you can try with a different device.
  6. Reboot Your Computer: This can clear temporary cache and reset network settings.

🛠️ Additional Tips

  • Check Browser Permissions: Ensure your browser has access to your camera and microphone.
  • Avoid VPNs: VPNs can cause latency and packet loss.
  • Update Your Browser: Ensure you're using the latest version for optimal performance.
  • Disable or Whitelist Ad Blockers: Ad blockers, while useful, can sometimes block essential resources needed for video calls, such as scripts or media elements. If you're using an ad blocker, temporarily disable it or whitelist the video calling website to ensure a smooth experience.
